Flat Squirrel Scooters Policies: Shipping
Shipping: Accessories
Most orders will ship within 2 business days. Because we have distribution centers across the country, we do our best to pull your product from the distribution center closest to you.
Shipping: Body Panels
Body panels are not generally stocked, with the exception of common panels and panels from new scooters that we have parted out. If you order a body panel, please expect additional shipping time. These may ship direct from the manufacturer to you, if that option is available to us. Colors on body panels may or may not match the color of your scooter. There is nothing we can do about this; therefore, if you want to make sure that they match the other panels on your scooter, you will either have to blend the paint or order a complete set of body panels, or at least the ones adjacent to the damaged one you need.
Because the panels we sell may fit several different brands of scooters, there may be a different name / model printed on them from your scooters name / brand. These decals’ style and positioning can change several times within a model year. These decals usually have a clear coat over them, so removing the decals is not always an option; be prepared to live with whatever decals are on them.
Shipping: Damaged Product
If your order arrives damaged, we will assist in filing a shipping damage claim, and get you a replacement as soon as possible. Shipping damage claims will be filed with the shipping company, and we will work diligently with you to get your product fixed or replaced.
If we do not have stock of an item ordered, or we are unable to get it from our vendors in a timely manner, we will offer you a refund, give you an account credit; offer you a used/refurbished part or backorder the part at your request.
Shipping: Parts
It is very important that you order exactly what you need. If you do not know whether or not a particular part is the correct part for your scooter, please pick up the phone and call us, or send us an email. We will do our best to help ascertain whether or not it is the correct part. Please note that scooter parts, especially non-franchise or name brand scooter parts, change from time to time and from year to year. WE HAVE NO CONTROL OVER THIS, so while we will do our best, there is no guarantee that it will still fit your scooter. For example, an electrical part may be the same part as it was two (2) years ago, but the connector may be different or the wire is shorter. Keep your old part in case you have to use a piece of it to make the new part work. Modifications you make to any part are done at your own risk, and Flat Squirrel Scooters, their agents or employees assume no liability for damage or injuries sustained from such modifications.
Shipping: Rates, Timelines & Carriers
All shipping will be billed at the actual prevailing published standard shipping rates plus 10% for handling and materials. COD orders will require an additional $7.00 as charged by the carrier. Oversize and heavy items may be subject to higher rates.
Please allow 4-10 working days (depending on how far you are from Chicago) for UPS, FedEx Ground, or Parcel Post to deliver your order. For best service and most prompt delivery, we recommend UPS or FedEx. Postal delivery carries no guarantee and no accurate tracking method. We reserve the right to change shipping methods.
Free Shipping (when offered) is not available on body parts, heavy parts & bulky items. Please do not select it if you have these items in your order. If an error has incurred in shipping calculations or you have selected free shipping for inappropriate items, you will be billed for shipping charges and your order will not ship until paid.
Overnight and 2nd Day Delivery orders will be shipped from our warehouse the same business day if the order is received and completed by 2:00 PM Central Time.
No delivery hour guaranteed by any of the shippers.
International orders shipped via most reasonable method possible and always quoted to customer.
At no time will we ever refund shipping costs. Furthermore, if an item is returned and it is deemed necessary to refund your money for the item and it was a free shipping promotion item, our actual shipping expenses will be deducted from the amount due.
Flat Squirrel Scooters, their shareholders, vendors, employees or agents assumes no liability for any damages or injuries to any person or property (real or otherwise), that take place after sale of any of Flat Squirrel Scooters’ products. Scooters can be dangerous when not used safely, so please use caution when operating any scooter products.
A refused shipment will result in a 20% restocking fee plus the deduction of actual shipping costs.
Flat Squirrel Scooters’ Return Policy:
PLEASE READ BEFORE RETURNING MERCHANDISE!
We have an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) system which will streamline the returns process and make it more accurate.
Here's how it works:
1. Call or email Flat Squirrel Scooters (connect to email address), and describe what you are returning* and the reason for the return. We will provide you with a unique RMA number.
2. Package up the merchandise and write your RMA# legibly on the side of the box with a marker.
3. Ship the box to us. When the merchandise arrives it will be processed by our receiving department in the manner discussed by you and Flat Squirrel Scooters (refund, exchange, etc.).
The rules:
1. ALL RETURNS MUST HAVE AN RMA NUMBER ON THE BOX! We cannot accept returns without an RMA number.
2. All returns must be sent prepaid via parcel post or UPS ground service. Send to Flat Squirrel Scooters Returns, 421 N. Randall Road, Lake in the Hills, IL 60156.
3. Returned items should be packed well. Be sure to insure the package with the post office or UPS.
4. If you need a replacement item right away, we will charge you for the item, but we will credit you upon receiving and processing the returned item.
5. There will be a 20% restocking fee for all returns, unless the return is the result of our error.
6. No returns over 30 days from the invoice date will be accepted.
7. Flat Squirrel Scooters reserves the right to deny a return on items damaged by the customer during installation or return shipping.
8. We cannot accept returns for merchandise damaged in shipping en route to the customer. If you receive damaged freight from us, save all packaging materials and call us so we can begin the claim process. If and when we are reimbursed for damaged goods, we will refund or replace them to you.
9. Special orders, electrical parts, tools, and manuals are NOT refundable.
* We offer no refunds or exchanges on PARTS that have shipped, with no exception. The only time we will exchange a PART is if we ship an item other than that which is printed on your order form and receipt.
